Create internal links within your website. Search engines look at a site's usability. If you don't provide links from page to page (within the text), then you're not only making it hard for the search engine robots to locate you, but more importantly, visitors to your site are not having the best viewing experience.

Work at getting your website listed and linked to from other, external websites. The more times you are listed, the better. Google indexes a lot of websites each and every second of the day. Tell the search engines what words and phrases you want to be found under. This is done by putting words within the Meta Title, Meta Description and Meta Keywords. Focus of words that are specific for your business. For example, if you are an e-commerce provider located in Vancouver then say "e-commerce providers Vancouver"
