- Is there training available on how to use the QwikCMS application?
1. Q:What is QwikCMS?
A: Qwik is a CMS that was developed by Jammicron in 2004. There are a number of different levels or modules that subscribers can take advantage of. The entry-level module, and most popular, is Pages. In addition to the Pages module, there are Catalogue, Ecommerce, and Gift Registry modules...learn more on the features and pricing.
2. Q: What does CMS stand for?
A: CMS stands for Content Management System and means a tool or application that enables someone to easily manage their website content (images and text).
3. Q: Is this a product exclusive to Jammicron?
A: QwikCMS is indeed a product exclusive to Jammicron and was developed internally by the Jammicron Team. Jammicron is open to discussion on licensing out the Qwik platform.
4. Q: Does Qwik offer different levels or modules of features?
A: Qwik has a number of different modules that offer clients some very unique features. learn more
5: Q: How do I get my website onto Qwik?
A: Contact Jammicron to discuss your options. We will need to see your current website and get a better understanding of what your needs are.
6. Q: How long does it take to get a Qwik website?
A: We've been able to get a template set-up on the Qwik platform in less than a day. This however is not the norm. We typically can get one of our templates or your existing website template implemented onto Qwik in under 10 days. It depends on our workload and your time frame.
7. Q: Is Qwik software I install on my computer or is it web-based?
A: QwikCMS is a web-based application and therefore you do not install any software on your computer.
8. Q: What does Web-based mean?
A: Web-based means the application is accessible over the internet. All you need to start editing your website is your content (text & images) and a browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox, etc.).
9. Q: How do I see a features list?
A: You can view a detailed features list by going to the Qwik section of our website. If you have any questions about the features offered, please don't hesitate to contact Dave Gajdosik.
10. Q: How much does it cost?
A: It all depends on the modules and the amount of work involved in the initial set-up. We can give you the subscription pricing on the website. To get a better idea on set-up pricing, please contact us.
11. Q: Are these costs one-time or ongoing (subscription)?
A: The initial set-up costs are often one-time. The QwikCMS is a subscription-based service and therefore the costs are ongoing. Jammicron does offer quarterly and yearly payment options for your convenience.
12. Q: Is there training available on how to use the QwikCMS application?
A: Jammicron does offer a total of 2 hours of training on our QwikCMS application. We usually break it down into two one-hour sessions, the first being a face-to-face meeting. The second hour is usually scheduled for a week to 10 days later to review and go over more advanced features. The second training session is done over the phone.
